I just got back from a little tweak and test drive. If I understand the wastegate concept correctly then the black allen screw limits the amount of boost going from the turbo to the wastegate actuator on the exhaust housing. When the boost reaches a certain level (say 17lb for stock), the wastegate actuator opens and the extra boost (above 17lb. ) is vented to the exhaust. I tightened the allen screw about 1 full turn and then took for a test drive. Going uphill empty with about 7/8 throttle I topped out at 29lb boost. I think this is good. In Charlton Heston's terms; "They're going to have to pry this truck from my cold, dead hands. " Am I headed in the right direction or were the last 2 years of staying up till 2:00 am reading archived posts in vain?

edit: I'm guessing that when towing or puting more load on it the boost might climb to dangerous or at least inefficient levels so I might need to back off the screw a bit.
