I'm about to purchase a set of these. Got three question/favor to ask of you.
Do you have all the information needed to adjust the ECU/PCM to correct the speedo?
What did you pay for them? I got a price for $168/tire at discounttire. $750 installed
Also, Video's of your mudding!!!

I used 624 revs a mile I think... I used BFG's site to estimate, and I also used a little margin of error, because my cummins always seems want to speed
As for the vids, The guy taping is still working on getting them off the camera, I might have to take matters into my own hands
RTillery said:I did a lot of measuring, guessing, looking at threads, and finally decided to go with 620. I write off my mileage and did not want to penalize myself when trying to get back a few of the my dollars that uncle Sam says belong to him. If anything, I wanted to have my speedometer (and odometer) reading slightly higher than actual.
It worked out pretty good. Checking with a GPS I am about 1 mile fast on the speedometer and over a hundred miles, my GPS is just a couple of miles off on the odometer. I nearly went with 624 and I think it would put you right on the money. I think you might be disappointed with the 606 #. JMHO, good luck
JasonCzerak said:how much of a margin of error did you give?
I got off my butt and did some math here:
I got to be EXACT, you should be at 606. 38 revs per mile.
teh 295/70/R17 is a 33. 26in tire, about 104. 6in circumference.
63 360 inches in a mile, divide with 104. 6 and I get 605. 73. I figure I just go with 606 to be just a bit under the true speed?
Tomeygun said:As much as your math is correct, GPS shows a different story... I would use between 620-625...
JasonCzerak said:Consoumer GPS's have a 15 foot margin of error.
I had one on a few trips between MI and MN, and it showed to be exactly 1mph off. I think the GPS was below the speed shown on the analoug guage.
what is the number in the ECU for the sotck 265's? it should be around 638. correct?

Wonder how spay paint would hold?

Tomey - you checked yours with GPS? How close were you?
I assume you changed the rev/mile with the DRB-III?

Tomeygun said:nope, just checked with a few friends on nextels, I am within 2-3 mph
And yes, I used the DRB3 to change the revs/per/mile
JasonCzerak said:After alot of headaches, GPS, math, ect. I ended up at 606 to be equivently off from the factory off set of almost 1mph. I think it's like . 75-ish. Example. Speed-o shows 80 from the dirvers perspective, the GPS says 79. This is exactly what the stock tires were off when I last had hte GPS in there. So the fact comsumer GPS are off a bit, I figure I'm right on because it's acting in the same manner as before (old tires).
I suspect 605, and that would be dead nutz on. if not maybe a wee-bit fast.
I enede up going on a 750mile trip with the new tires, with out changing the ECU, and I figured the odometer is off a bit over 100 miles on that first part of the trip. nopt to mention the 500 miles I drove prior to the trip.
