Just bought a FORD

Don't get excited, I bought a Ford Escape for my wife.



Its got this neat backup system that beeps when you get near something (so she can't back into my NEW 2002 dodge I bought last month)

We have the same thing on our Excursion. I still backed into a concrete light post over christmas Luckily, I hit right on the reciever hitch, so it did a more damage to the pole than the X. I discovered that if you backup fast enough, you go from beep beep to a solid beep fast enough to still hit things

I concur, that radar is great, but it sees right through 42" field fence and wont pick it up. our turn around in our drive backs up to the pasture fence. the posts are set 9 1/2 feet apart. if you line up between them it wouldnt alert you until you were nearing the horses standing in pasture
