Just Bought a Mega Cab

This is my first diesel. I bought an 03 QC 1500 4 months ago, but there just wasn't enough back seat space when you have 2 child seats.



It's a pretty well loaded SLT and has the same 2 tone paint that the 03 had, Patriot blue with the grey lower portion. Options include 4x4, LSD, 4. 10s, fog lights, sunroof, tow mirrors, Nav radio, Sirius and more.



I plan on getting either a Rhino lining or LineX and either a Retrax or a Bedlocker retractable bed cover.

I also need nerf bars. I'm not sure if I'll get the Mopar ones or aftermarket.



I also need to buy an open car trailer to take my Road Runner to long-distance car shows.



Here's my wife standing in front of it. You can see my almost 3 year old son through the window. My 2 month old is also in the back.

I was very excited when I heard Dodge was making the Mega Cab. We had just had our daughter and room was in issue in our 1500 QC. You will love the room in your new truck. A few times we have had to switch the car seat over to my inlaws gmc 2500. It looked like the car seat barely fit in the back seat! You will love the truck when you travel too. The extra room makes a big difference.



I went with LineX and Leuvern nerf bars. Lots of quality stuff out there some of the choices just come down to prefernce. You will have a lot more choices on accessories now. When I got mine, I mean when my wife got hers (LOL) last November, there were not many choices in accessories for the Mega Cab yet. Good luck and enjoy your new ride!

Thanks, so far the only problem is the weak a/c that everyone is complaining about.



I installed Mopar tubular step bars and had the bed done over the rails with Line-X



I went to have a Bedlocker and Powergate installed yesterday, but they ordered the wrong rails. Apparently the Mega Cab bed is slightly different from a QC short bed.

69 Road Runner convertible. Was 383 column-shift auto will be 528 Hemi and 4 speed. B5 blue with a white top and white interior.

Thanks, folks! It should be a fun car to drive. It's an original a/c car, so I'm going to keep a/c for the 90+ degree and 3000% humidity days we get.
