just did my track bar now got a banging noise..

well just did my trackbar and shocks and now i have a hard hitting frame noise. Ime sure the dia. hole in the shocks matched the bolt and they were a no brainer. The new moog bar has play up and down when you move the wheel l and r fast. The old bar has 3/16 inch play and it never banged and this one does. So now i think maybe the shocks, but they are tight. This is ******* me off... ... . Any suggestions... ... Should the new moog have 1/8 play?? RRR

I think you have a defective bar as 1/8 seems excessive. :{ PS. You might want to edit your post before it get removed.

The new track bar should have no play at all. Try popping it out and reseating the ball stud.



WHen are you hearing the pop sound, on bumps or in turns or ?

after installing the lift kit on my truck, I had the same problem. I had to remove the axle end, clean the whole assembly and reseat the track bar. Works fine now. Good Luck.

banging noise fixed. It was the shocks. There is about a 1/16 inch play between the lower bolt and the lower shock insert. I thought it was o. k. The old pair were the same but never banged... . oh well. I can sleep tonight..... RRR
