Does anyone know anything or has anyone installed a Walker Airstep in their vehicle? I'm of the opinion that some of the simpleist devices give us the most benifit.

arar, the Walker Airsep looks like a fix to a problem but from what I've gathered it is expensive. I emailed them about 2 weeks ago to inquire about pricing and have not heard from them at all. I have not seen anyone on this site that has installed one. Most people add a longer hose to the existing breather hose and run it to the rear of their trucks. Susposedly, that will get rid of the oil mess and smell and is a very inexpensive solution to a poor design. I plan to go with the extended hose myself.

I'm not sure we are supposed to mention prices, however, multiply 100 times 4 add some more on top of that and put a $ in front of it.

If it is a quality item and does all it's supposed to do then it may well be worth the money, it just seems like a lot for the perceived benefit.

I like the idea of the product, maybe some users or the Walker people could chime in and explain its worth. I would like to hear about it anyway.

i saw one on the BLUE chip diesel test mule , works great , seperates the oil and runs it back to the pan and recirculates the fumes into the intake pre turbo , not sure how much of those fumes are vapor and if they leave a residue on the turbo and intercooler . i also heard they were in the neighborhood of $500 , i also emailed them once and NEVER recieved a reply.

They did have a special of around $350, but I think that ended at the end of August. I TOO e-mailed them and NEVER got a reply. I finally called them, and they promised info in the mail. That NEVER came either. While the product looks like a neat idea, I am not too sure that there is much customer support.

I am still mildly interested in one, but other goodies first. Then I might try contacting them again. Three strikes and you are out!!!

There is some discussion on this at the other site. Maybe we don't want all that goop going through the turbo after all. I surely wouldn't want to clog my intercooler with that sh--.

Cummins South in Savannah carries the Airsep system in stock primarily because they are a big marine supplier. They are over 400 bucks and the one I saw was kinda large. It has a big K&N filter on it. If the one I saw is for the 5. 9 engine, the airbox would have to be removed and some sort of brace attached to the fender to support the thing.
