I have 97,000 miles on my truck. I developed a problem about 10,000 miles ago. I pull a 40' trailer all the time. I pull up a 5% or better grade, NO Juice, It rings PO148 code (lack of fuel) problem only when I am pulling up a grade. Towbin Dodge in Las Vegas has had my truck since last SAturady and still says nothing about the problem. They are not fixing it, not doing anything. I call every day and talk to Jeff the service manager and he tells me the same thing every day, "they have a call into Star and there suppose to get back to them" Same issue day after day. I have hassled him and tried to explain my side of this. I need to get this truck back on the road and get to work. I am getting apsolutly no results. They simply don't give a rats *** about there customers. I called DOdge and they tell me it's a dealer issue and they need time to diagnois the problme, have they noit had enough time? I think they are just waiting for me to get frustrated, say hell with it and pickup my truck and let the warantee run out. What am I to do?#@$%!

I think they know you have no warranty, I know you have no warranty, you know you have no warranty ... ... ... ... hell, you have no warranty, just upgrade the lift pump to go with your Juice and go on down the road!

You know, I would even do that. But who says its the lift pump, it could be high pressure not delivering. My juice is off, I am very concervitive with it and it should leave no scares to find. I'd put a fass on but, it may not solve the problem and I am not in the possition right now to spend money needlessly.

Alls they'll do is put another crappy lift pump on . You will need to wonder when that one is going to go out too. Screw them , piece of mind , install a good aftermarket unit with some better filtration.

He's driving an 06 with the lift pump in the tank... . I've not read of a failure of a tank mounted lift pump. . and since we've changed our trucks over to this pump we have not had any failure either..... we now have over 200K on 3 trucks with this style of pump... . on the old style we were lucky to get 60K out of one pulling hard..... I don't think this is a lift pump problem... . might be something simple as a plugged filter???

BTW - we pull large trailers all the time... our largest runs 20K with an 04 3500 dually with 235K miles... .

Just my thoughts here...

First thing I changed was the filter. I have to tell you this is the worse service I have gotten yet from Dodge. My truck sits day after day with no results. But don't let that monthly payment be late!!!

Has the dealer got it to recreate the problem? If so what fuel presure is it running when it does it? That will tell you everything you need to know, hook up the DRB and go for a ride.

MM, it wasn't down at Chapmans for a bit before it went to Towbins, was it? Unfortunately all the local dealers suck around here, I hear Saitta Trudeau out in Pahrump is easier to work with, let me know if you need any help! Maybe give Saitta Trudeau a call and see if they can do anything, but like the others said. Mark

I actually live in Kingman,Az and I will not take my truck anywhere near Martin Swanty in Kingman or Bullhead City. So Pahurmp is just to far for me. As far as the dealer recreating the problem, he hasn't even tried. I even told him, I will take the truck hook up my trailer bring it up to him and show him the problem, I can make it happen. Well he doesn't seem interested in doing that either. Nice Guys, real customer worthy. (shake my head in discust)

Sounds like you need to take a climb up the chain of commands...

Like my grandpa used to say "the squeaky wheel gets the grease". ;)

Ask the service manager when the district service manager is stopping by so you can have a pow wow with him.

I'll tell you, it damn near impossible to find a desent dealer anymore. I check Towbin and your right, guess I need to get my truck out of there. Problme is, is the next gut any better? I haven't had any luck with any of them.

Machinemover,I Has a couple easy fixes for you contact Me at the # below,if it takes care of your Problem you can post it. I look forward to hearing from you.

I had 2 go out on me. freind of mine chris lost his 3 weeks ago. It still happens.

Finally got a word back from them today. I'm sceptical but at least he's telling me something. Service manager says "they have a few more checks to do tomorrow but every indication is showing a bad cylinder in the injection pump". If that's the case I sure am glad it happend now, while its still under warrantee. Just to check, the injection pump is still considered engine and under 100,000 mile warrantee isn't it?

With your mods you had better make damn sure with them first it'll be under warranty, another one of their games, wait till you come get it and BAM, big ol' repair bill, no warranty due to your mods... . CHECK FIRST!!!
