Just drove 03 HO!

Did a test drive on a 03 3500 srw qc 4wd HO.....

I'm not impressed. it was much quieter,rode softer then my 01. 5

however i didn't find it suitable for every day use,maybe due to the 4. 11,i guess, but it was way too much shifting for my taste, maybe i will wait for the HO auto.

BTW:the interior went to the dogs big time.

Face it - SOME of us will applaud the '03's, some will NOT - and forums like this give us opportunity to exchange HONEST viewpoints - and let the cards fall where they may...



But JEEZE, let's not get like the GM/Duramax crowd - all defensive and in denial - demanding VIN #'s every time someone makes a negative comment...

You know the most butt ugly truck I ever saw was the G2 Rams, until I bought one, then another, they look real good now!



I thought the styling on my G3 was a little off, but I really Really like the high cowl line and the in you face rear view mirror appearance now!

Yeah - I agree - I too thougt the second generation trucks were UGGGGGLY when I saw the first pictures of them before they actually hit the streets - and after seeing the first one in-the-metal, I thought, WHOA, let's re-think this - and NOW, there's not the slightest doubt in my mind they are absolutely the BEST looking trucks to ever hit the road...



The '03's? Time will tell - but honest first impressions are quite valuable for those coming here looking for info to guide their buying decisions - and THAT is what this is all about...

All I said that I didn't like shifting every 2 seconds,call me lazy...

I liked the looks of the exterior,the interior looks like something GM would have designed in the 80's(the dash layout anyway) IMO

If you don't like it, don't buy, build it, modify, have it done, have them do it or get it from them... ...



I wasn't upset, don't think I was snotty, I would have said the same thing in person, and I probably wouldn't have slapped him around over his opinion.



I just think its odd, acceptable, but odd, that people keep posting on this board or that, that they don't like model X that they have no intention of buying. But keep in mind, I wrote a $35,000 plus check for this truck, your insulting my own kin!



And Yes, I think the GM duratrash, gimmee your vin number guys are the worst,,, like a rock!

BTW, I'm almost done wasting my Sunday workin on the computer, its nice to have the TDR breaktime every once in a while...

I like the 03s and am gonna buy my wife an 03 3500 SRW 4x4 with the HO ahd 48RE next Spring. Can't say I liked 'em right off the bat like I did the 2nd gens and that's why I bought an 02 3500 this past Aug. Also, 'cuz I could transfer my $3,500 worth of accessories.



I'm from San Antonio, Texas, and I'm right about 99. 9 percent of the time. Don't ask my wife though!
