OK, without any intention of getting a Dodge today I ended up with one. Yes the sticker price was at 50K, who in the heck is going to pay that for a 2500 Truck? I didn't! I traded in my 05 3500 4x4 NDRW long bed. That truck had been so good to me and I had mixed feelings. They gave me 24K for my Trade and the invoice was 45k for the 2010. The only reason I was able to do this was that they gave me 24k for mine. A few months ago I would only get 18k for mine. I ended up with lower payments and a new truck. Yes I will say I think the older style dose look nicer and time will tell about the rest.
The dealers are suffering right now in a bad way, the 2500/3500's are in short supply now but give it a few weeks and they will start coming in. I love the Cummins and I have said before that if …. (This hurts)…Ford used Cummins I would be driving a Ford, or Chevy. I will say that I do not understand the sticker prices given the situations we are in economically. Personally I feel that for the best outfitted 3500 4x4 Cummins one should only see a sticker of about 39k-41k, and a 2500 no more than 36K-38k, but that's just me.
This was the first time I actually made out buying a vehicle. I just don't need the 3500 any more yet I still have the capacity for any medium duty work.
As I said time will tell.

Epg70,

Congrats on your new ride! I have no intentions on a new truck but I sure like these 4th Gens. Anything you like better so far on the new one compared to the '05?

Thanks,

Paul

The biggest thing I like is that I walked away at 33K for the whole thing. The interior is a huge improvement over the 05 but I think with a five year difference I'm doing the apples to oranges thing. The size of the crew cab is larger. Being over 6'3” and my wife at 6'1”, we are tall people by sum standard so our daughter is very tall yet she has plenty of room over the 05. One thing I did notice is that the turning radius is improved over the 05. One thing I did like about Ford was the turning, we have two 09 F450's at work and I love their ability to turn in tight spots especially during enforcement operation. This will make hunting far more enjoyable.

Honestly right now given this was so unexpected I am still kind a exploring this truck and finding things that I did not know it had and that sounds bad given this is no small purchase.

After I calm down a little I can give more specific facts to what I have.

Congratulations on the new truck, sounds like you got a good deal. Did you get the towing package?

When you activate the Sirius sound package, I would suggest that you buy the lifetime package. This is tied to the receiver not tied to you, if you do not then the yearly fees are higher. I know that when I was offered this it was under $300 lifetime. I did not take advantage of the offer now they want a little under $165 a year. No way will I pay for that.

Good luck and enjoy your truck.

Jim- I do plan to get the life time Sirius, I had that in my last one but it was free, and I do have the tow package

Ya got to subtract what I owed on the last truck. Vehicles aren't like buying houses; you never win in on the equity side but this time I did.

Sounds nice does it have the trailer brake controler in it? If it does let us know how it workes. Where are the pictures?
