Just got certified as a mounted officer.

I've been a reserve police officer for 19 years now. Our chief realized a long term goal of his to have a mounted unit. He was finally able to put the whole thing together so myself and four other officers are the first members of the unit. It was very intensive training but also a great deal of fun. I'm really looking forward to using the unit the first time. We have alot of special events that the horses will be a wonderful tool for.

Congratulations! Be careful out there I also work in the public safety realm and I know it takes a special person to work with animals. (I. E. Dogs and horses. ) on the job.

Congratulations! Winnemucca, what a neat town. We rattle through there 4 or 5 times a year. I always smile at the city sign comming into town from the north, "Winnemucca and proud of it". Good luck with your new assignment.
