I just got my jr in the mail is there a way to tell if it has the latest softwere on it without uploading it to the truck first

As soon as you plug it in to the OBDII port the software id will flash on the Smarty screen. You have to be quick to read it, you may have to do it several times to write it down. If you got it from Bob/Smarty power, it will have the latest software.
