Well i thought i would update this as my experience with an internet purchace. We have had the truck for a little over a month now and most of my fears are gone. The truck runs very well but there are a few things i felt should have been disclosed. The drivers side rear door will not open(latch is broken i think) I had to replace all 4 sets of brakes, rotors, drums the day it showed up(very apparent that they were metal to metal) it had a bad vibration which i traced to a driveshaft support bearing. It has alot less wear and tear on than most trucks with 200k on the clock. So all in all i bought this truck for 4000 under book and had to spend around 600 bucks to bring it up to snuff. I am happy with my purchace as i expected to have to repair a few things. Harvey at Arlingon Imports was very patient in waiting on my bank to fund the loan and was pleasant to deal with. Would i deal with him again--Yes, with caution. I think they where better than any other used car dealer i have dealt with but still a used car dealer.

They rear door latch is probably an easy fix. They linkage is a ball joint that pops off sometimes if you close the door too hard. Have fixed mine twice and my dads at least once. Probably the only thing wrong.

So what's the yellow wire runnin' across the firewall?

kscheffler, the early '01's (like mine) still had the plastic cover on the tailgate... the '01. 5's dropped it.

NCoulter, the paint on my '05 valve cover was flaking three months after I bought it new.

The yellow wire is the pyro wiring, What i was concerned about being pluged in is actually an anti theft setup, Pull the plug and the truck no start. Its not in the port like i thought. Not too shabby;)
