TST out of stock

be careful with the torque on that. i got to 20ft-lbs then it let loose. i have used 3-4 in the past. no problems till now. robin at genos was very nice and replaced it with no problem.

only problem was it left the plunger inside my pan. nobody volunteered to get it out. ?

good luck.

Scot,

Didn't you just have a thread on that a couple days ago? Believe it was at https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=107708&highlight=genos+drain

When it broke, did it feel tight by "hand pressure"?

I wonder if the torque wrench calibration should be compared to another one for accuracy? Then there is always the possibility that you just happened to get one with a manufacturing defect in it.

sounds like Geno's has done it again... . replacements with a smile.

smile from them... ..... not me... .....

Don't torque the oil plug!

I recommend NOT torqing the drain plug. In over 30 years, I've only snugged them and never had a problem on anything. The only folks I've heard of having problems are the one's torqing them.

I believe in using torque wrench on sensitive components, but most torque setting I've seen are too high in my opinion. If I had to guess, my snugging = about 15 to 18 ft lbs.

Good luck,

Wiredawg
