Just How Hot is to Hot for short intervals?

Like the EDM's, but 1600* comes up very fast (pre turbo).



1. Too High EGTS will damage what?



2. Whats a good solution to still have the new found power but lower the EGTS to a safe range?

Lots of air will cool it down and make more power too, high EGT's will melt pistons, crack heads and make the piston eat at the cyl walls... . BOTW I've seen 1900 before!
