Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Just lost slave cylinder

I wonder what is giving you the problem on it. When I put mine in, it snapped together pretty easy. Check the fitting and make sure it's clean, especially on the female end.

On the female end it looks like the little fingers aren't sticking up very far. Should they be? It WILL NOT go in.

The 97 and later model "12 Valve" slave cylinders are double the size of 98. 5 & newer "24 Valve" slave cylinders.

What is the difference between the two? I'm guessing that the 97 version works.

Well I put the new slave and master on and it wasn't the problem. I'm going to call Peter tomorrow and start tearing it down this weekend. Thanks for the help guys.
