Just Ordered HO/48RE

Just orderd 3500 Laramie 4X4,SRW, SB, 48RE, Garnet. Dealer says it will be about 8 weeks. Also talked to DC and was told that the 2500 will be avaiable with the 48RE the end of Jan. Now the hard part... ... the wait.

Ordered mine on 12/11 and talked to the Chrysler customer service line this morning am and got a VIN. He was hesitant to give me a ship date because of the Holiday work schedule and to call back next Monday and he would have a ship date. By the way, the customer service line was very helpful and friendly.

ordered mine on 12/3. still no VIN or VON #... no status yet either...



called my dealer just a second ago and he said that he'd get me a VIN and/or VON and the current status...



once i have the VIN/VON who can i call to find out the status?

If you call DC to get your order status, get a file number going. That will make it easier on subsequent calls. Call them as close to 8 am as you can (your time zone). Most of the folks I talked to at DC were very helpful, courtesy seems help.

i agree... i think that this new HO/48RE combo is going to sell faster they can build them... . i think the resale will also be great a few years down the line...



personally, i like to shift though... i got a HO/6-speed

Calling DC

I challenge you all to call back to DC. If you talked to the same customer service center I did, chances are you will not get the same answer twice. One time they told me the truck was shipped and the next time I called, they said they haven't built it yet... Plus, these are the same people that told me in August that I counldn't order a single tire 3500. They were really nice about it though. Nevertheless, I got it, and it runs great. Oo.

I JUST GOT MY '03 DUALLY QUAD CAB SLT WITH LARAMIE PACKAGE, FLAME RED, 4X2. INSTALLING FIFTH WHEEL HITCH TODAY. THEY SAY IT'S BUILT BETTER, BUT BOY DID THEY MAKE HARDER TO INSTALL THE FIFTH WHEEL HITCH. I USED A REESE KIT. I WILL DO THE WIRING NEXT. AFTER HAVING ALL THE POWER IN MY '99, I'LL NEED AN UPGRADE SOON. I'LL PULL THE 5 ER TOMORROW. BY THE WAY IT'S A 6 SPEED. I WAS LOOKING FOR AN EXHAUST BRAKE, BUT NO LUCK. TBOB

Appears to be making a pilot run of 48RE

It appeared that this last week they were running the 48RE. I believe the current 48RE schedule is 400 a day, but this is for v10's also.
