Just put in a new HTB2 62/14

Only have driven about 45 miles or so, but I think I am going to like it. It definitely spools slower but like Rip told me once you get to around 15 PSI it starts cooling nice.



I already notice cooler egt's on a hard accelaration. I will hook to my new TT this weekend and see how it does.

I am now thinking of going to either a 62/12 or back to the stocker. The low boost code is driving me nuts.



I also get turbo surge with the boost elbow in when I am towing, but then will have to put the elbow back in to run higher smarty levels when I am not towing.

Still Will Do It With A 62/12 - Does On Mine Anyway - I Wish I Knew This Before I Bought A Bigger Turbo - They Should Tell You That You'll Also Need A Smarty To Clear The Under Boost Code Out Every Time It Comes On.

I think I am going to have Rip put the stocker back in for now. I don't have time to mess with it and stopping to clear codes every 2 hours on a 3,000 mile trip to yellowstone doens't work for me. :{

well , like my other post on this same topic. I have not seen a great turbo for these trucks yet. you give to get and thats pretty much how we have been dealing with it. stock spool or top end cooling what do you want. twins will cure the problem though I must say.

i agree - just wished like everyone else that we had the extra money.

twins do work great had mine on about 6 months now with the 62/12 on top of a 400

UPDATE:



There was a turbo mistake, I was trying to tow with a Sledpuller 66. Not a good towing turbo by any means.



I am sticking with the stock turbo now for a while.
