Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Just put on the M.E. Kit

Well thought I would let you know that after having the ME Kit sitting in my garage for about a month debating whether or not I should rip the muffler off or not finally did it yesterday! I am just sorry I waited so long. It really is not that bad, crusing in OD it is about the same as stock, when under a load you notice it, and when idling you can hear it a little louder at the tip. Just thought I would update you.

I've got one on mine now. It is a great mod, but I'm ready to move up to a full exhaust.



Anyone that is debating, the MEK is not too bad over stock, but does let out a nice tone when you stand on it. I don't have any drone, either (the resonator is still there).

Agree that getting rid of the muffler is not that big a deal in relation to sound output/agitation factor.



The only other thing I'd throw out here is that many of us were able to pull into a local muffler shop and have them get rid of the muffler for less than the cost of buying the ME kit.
