Time for some warrantee work. Since I do most of my own service it's been a long time since my '03 has been to the dealer. I decided to remove the EZ before delivering the truck to the dealer. Holy cow! I can't believe how underpowered the stock 555 motor is without the EZ.

I can't wait for the Attitude/Juice. :D

Any of the surging/slow start issues with the EZ? How about mpg? Thanks, doc

No surging or starting problems with the EZ. Normal driving MPG seemed unchanged, but I think I lost about 1 MPG towing. Probably because I can go so much faster up the hills with the EZ

The EZ is smooth. I experience a little bit of an inconsistant idle at about 10 degrees and colder outside when the engine has been sitting over night. I can't say for sure that I wouldn't have the same thing happen without the EZ though.

I agree, my trucks are drastically different in the way they are set up, but when I remove the EZ from the 555, its a dog, can't really tell with EZ 600, but the BullyDog Power Pup, thats another story, theres no mistaking something different with the 600 when that is programmed stock instead of Tow or Performance.

Hey, DIESELMAN.

I don't mean to change the direction of this thread but, I, also, have an '03, 3500 swr, HO, 6-sp, with an AFE, PG-7 air intake and a Magnaflow exhaust.

On Sunday, Jan. 8, '05, I drove up to Flagstaff to see the snow. I noticed, while driving around town, that, when starting out from the stoplight, the engine would sound like an older Cummins between about 800-1000 rpms. Then, it seemed like the "pilot injection" would kick in and the engine would quiet down. I've, also, noticed this while camping in the White Mtns. at about the 9200' elevation.

Do you notice this occuring in your truck/trucks? Do you know what's causing this and if it's a serious problem that needs to be corrected?

Flagstaff sure was pretty with all the snow. But, then it's pretty nice anytime!

I noticed diesel prices were quite reasonable at the Little America $1. 78/9. Some of the other stations, in town, were a lot more expensive, though.

Well, thanks for your input, DIESELMAN, and my apologies for trying to "hijack" this thread.
