Competition 951hp !!!!

Competition Hypertech's 6 day test!

Some people get it:

Truck Information:

NO nos, NO propane, NO chips, NO washer fluid, NO alcohol.

Engine: Cummins B Series 6 cylinder

Body: 97 Chevy 1500 Extended Cab/Short Bed, Steel Bed & Cab

Chassis: 140" custom tube

Transmission: Lenco with "secret sauce"

Turbos: Keating Machine hybrid

Fuel System: Keating Machine custom

Fuel: #2 Pilot pump diesel & water

Crankcase lubricant: Shell Rotella

Weight: 3550/lbs

what about other brands of nitrous systems? NX? ZEX? Nitrous Works?

or are you saying "naws" like all the backwards hat rice boys do when they mean to say "nitrous"?

what about twin turbos, is that cheating too?

I think we should all go back to IDI NA diesels... turbos are an unfair advantage... anyone can bolt on a turbo and make power...

NOS is an acronymn for Nitrous Oxide System so unless NX ZEX Or Nitrous Works are not Nitrous Oxide Systems I believe they are included.

Uh oh... . Is Sleddy going Comp hunting?

Josh

Water two turbos, the real old timers would say 3 power adders!

When you get right down to it no power adders would be boring!!

I’m all for a class , with say 4000 lbs and a limited turbo set up , say DHRA 2. 88 , and nothing else , where innovators that can work a combination out , these guys would be at the top, in a controlled environment. As in NHRA Super Stock diesel truck, but those that laugh at the highly ported heads and light weight rotation assembles, and original non copied exotic cam profiles would be the guys on top, I have years experience in this type competition , the more restrictive the rules the better.

actually, NOS is an acronymn for the brand "Nitrous Oxide Systems"... like NX is short for the brand "Nitrous eXpress"

besides, who cares if someone has a nitrous delivery system on their vehicle? it's the NITROUS that makes the power...

people say stuff like "a 200 shot of NOS"... really? are you injecting the delivery system? or are you injecting the nitrous? please call it what it is...

just trying to help you guys out... if you call nitrous "NOS", the rest of the racing world is laughing at you behind your back :-laf

Don't want that so N2O it is unless those laughing are also inhaling! :-laf .

NOS has become the "word" for nitrous... just like FedEx is how you tell someone to get a package delivered overnight. Everyone recognizes it.

Considering there isn't a faster truck not using NOS, NX or nitrous, everyone is behind our back (for the time being). :)

(thats my attempt at humor - not a stab at anyone)

but it really hasn't... people who use nitrous at high levels of competition DO NOT call it "nos"...

it's become the slang term for nitrous to people who are "fast and furious"

seriously, go to the pits in a big time NHRA event and start talking about "nos", you'll think you're in a seizure ward with all the rolling eyes.

I've heard people use the argument "well, people call tissues "kleenex"... OK, that's because the PRODUCT (tissues) are called "kleenex" by Johnson and Johnson... you don't call them "Johnson and Johnsons", right? I mean, that IS the company that manufactures the delivery system of said product...

anyhow, bottom line is if you call nitrous "nos", you're embarassing yourself

Honestly, I don't think Warren Johnson or John Force is behind his montior laughing his *** off at it. Is it really that big of a deal in the big scheme of things? I'd rather worry about how to get the power to the ground than looking like a dork for using NOS instead of nitrous on a website. IMHO.

Maybe I should go back and change it to no nos, no nx :-laf

My preference is that for daily driving or trailering, your vehicle should run it's best on diesel only.

For racing there should be classes that are fixed on diesel only and classes that have power adders.

While we are on the subject, what is wrong with chips?

on my 8. 72 pass my bottle was disconected per NHRA rules , so you might include me in that little club,

Imanage this for a DHRA pro Street , you stage and have a . 120 jet , you press on the foot brake, to help spool the nitrous would slowly come on as the boost comes up , not overpowering the motor and putting the fire out. Now when the tree comes down you release the brake , the second stage starts counting and when it is at the programmed point , the second stage of nitrous come on . This second stage could be one of more solenoids, ganged together. This would then ramp up at the rate you programmed in to them on a time in to the pass rate.

This is top of the like one nozzle, and one laptop to tell it what to do. From the leader in the nitrous world, and the manufactory of 95% of all diesel nitrous systems whether Edge , Bully Dog, or Dr Performance , their all NX products

just say no nitrous and then NOBODY will laugh at you! :)

Just quit using it, and WE'LL quit laughing at you.

If I use NOS in a sentence, I'm using it to drive the diehard users nuts, and so the other guys know what I'm talking about. :-laf

Anyway, no thats not my truck, I cut and pasted it from the website of the bestdrag truck/team out there at the moment. Diesel and steel, got to love it. :D
