I'm going to do the Old Twins program. I guess it's a little different then the new twins program. Should have my unit back on Thurs. (gotta love Fed-ex overnight) My question to any of you is have you tried it and what is the noticable driving difference between the standard program and the old twins? I know the old twins program will start adding fuel at 3psi and have full fuel by 12psi or so. Where as the new twins I think it starts at 3 an goes to 20 (not sure). I do know that the standard one doesn't start fueling until 12psi. That's why I'm going this route. To get rid of that lag between 0-12psi. Also, how much more or less is this program going to smoke (think CA). Thoughts/experiences?

My standard tst will smoke pretty good already. I haven't used the any of the twins programs but I bet more fuel at low boost equals MAJOR smoke. Judging by your sig you might like that. :-laf :-laf

TST old twins program

I order my tst about two weeks ago and order it with the new twins program for my '03 and I was not impressed. I called back and they told me that with an '03 I would need the original program and I too sent it back and let me tell you, the original program is much better in my opinion. It threw me back in my seat at a level setting of 3/3, but I wanted to throw a major cloud of smoke and I had to turn it up to 6/6. Daytime became night. I threw a steady cloud of black smoke for about 20 feet :D it only stopped because I let my foot off the pedal. Let me warn you, if you have a stock turbo don't floor it off the line. Some stock turbo's can take it but I did this and I am now replacing my turbo.

I've been wanting to replace my turbo anyway, so it didn't matter to much to me anyway. Let us know how you like when you get it installed. I also stacked mine with an EZ and it flies :-laf . Happy smoking!

My turbo's not stock. When I meant smoke I meant how hard is it to keep it from smoking. I live in CA and they frown on smoke big time. I just want to know if the drivability is going to be worse or better then what I have now.

Yeah, it's especially bad here. They advertise all day long for 1-800-EXHAUST.

Get reported, and you can't re-register w/o inspection.

I was thinking about getting a rear exit exhaust when I upgrade to the TST. That way they can't see my license plate when the smoke rolls :-laf
