Mike, looks like you've put together a nice package. Couple of questions/comments, I like the way you ran your stacks, I've always thought that exact setup would look good on a 3500 4x4. I see you ran under the fuel tank to get to the drivers side, did you try to use that area available above the tank, tight I know, just wondering if it's usable with insulation to protect the tank.



Secondly, had any problems from not having a DOT approved sleeper?

Yes, that is a Bob V 2 wheel low kit, and I must say I would be lost without it. An absolute must have for anyone doing much backing. The other switch on the gear shifter is where I manually operate my Pacbrake. I have found it to be much better to eliminate the under pedal switch and wire it direct.



As far as the Dot sleeper is concerned, I don't usually spend alot of time back there. I go for the hotels when possible. I have been looking for rules on sleeping back there, and have turned up nothing. I have found a few size diminsions as requirements, but nothing that looks too serious. I do see alot of other hotshot regular cab trucks and daycab tractor trailers with the driver asleep across the front seats or slumped over the wheel. I am pretty sure the Dot does not like that. My understanding is that the Dot wants you out of the drivers seat for 8 hours.



If anyone has any info on this I would love to be enlightened!!!

I ran the stainless flex pipe under the front driveshaft and down the frame. Looks great, and totally misses the stock fuel tank.

I can try to post some pics if anyone is interested.

Mike = the rig looks very good. Where did you get the brackets for your switches on the 4x4 stick and the trans stick. I am installing a gear vender in mine and all ready have a Pack brake

swtich on my gear stick but do not like the bracket.

Where did you get the stacks put on? Or did you put them on yourself? Ive been wanting to do the same thing, but dont know who would install them in the southwest.



I like the ones that come up inside the bed, but running a bed tank forces you to put the stacks on the outside. They're still cool.

I put the stacks on myself. No one will touch a truck with a converter for that kind of work.

I got the switch from a guy in Virginia. He is in the classified sections on this site selling PacBrakes. (Good prices on those too!!!) The 2 wheel low switch came from Bob V. on this site.

Mike did the brackets that hold the switchs to the sticks come with them or are they aftermarket. Shoure looks good.
