Hey Guys, I just wanted to say HI! I am not on my first Diesel, I have had Fords for 8 years however I am just about to start a 12V Cummins Repower in Big Ed.

From what I have read this is the best place to come and learn and get help. Looks like a great site and I plan to stay a while.

The Cummins Repower will be fully documented and will start in December. I have already purchased the Doner truck (1986 F350 CC 2wd with a 20K mile Cummins) The doner truck should have about everything I need to do the swap.

Check out my sig for the You Tube Video of Big Ed an the work that was done to it last winter, let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Well this truck is finally done, but when are ever really done?

How very true.

Second the question about the tailgate.

Did I see blinking LED's in the cowl induction part of the scoop?

Thanks Guys,

I was doing an aquaintence a favor moving and selling his 24' boat. He hooked up the boat and below average trailer to my truck and I didn't double check the latch. He never latched it and it came undone at 55 MPH. Since it was a junk trailer the emergency brakes didn't work and I had to stop the boat using the tailgate of the truck. Could have been a whole lot worse!

Bottom line, My truck, My load, My fault,. . but the insurance money helped pay for the whole truck makeover so its all good! :)

Yes you did, the scoop is what Ford used on a bunch of 69 Torino GT's and Mustangs. They had factory turn signal lenses in them. This hood scoop didn't have the turn signals in them and I wasn't really planning on putting them in. Then my buddy Scotty (the dude in the wheel chair in the vid) who is very good at wiring and fabrication said "Let me have the hood scoop for a couple of days. " So he built the lights into the hood scoop and it looks better than the factory setup! He did an awesome job!

I have some more pics just have to figure out how to post them in the threads, Do they have to be hosted on a website? I could just post them to my webshots.

Thanks again for the comments!

Later,

Darrin
