Just removed the cat and have it in my hand. Dont tell me thats not restrictive. All you can see through it is a tiny little pinhole of light. Cutting the muff off now. Replacing the cat with a res. and putting on free flow muffler. Anybody in Oregon want to hold up the other end while I put it back together?

I'm interested to see what differences you notice with the cat and muffler gone. What did the muffler look like inside compared to the one you put on? I would love to do that too but I'm afraid of getting that resonating dull roar I have heard some complain about. How did your truck drive/sound afterward? Any pics?

bye bye Kitty

When I pulled the muffler I stuck my troublelight in one end and you could not see any light from the other end. Granted it was not a straight thru but I thought you should see something.

Just drove it home from work where I did it (about 20 miles) noise was no louder. The tone was deeper, I thought it would be noisier. I was a little bummed how quiet it is. Maybe when I load the motor the pitch will rise. Cant tell about power yet as I was in traffic so I couldnt open it up.

As for smell I never smelt the cat so nothing is different there.

Afe and torque tube will be on today.
