2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission just wondering

for those who live on the southern border , can a person go across and fill up the old truck and how much is fuel a gallon ?

I understand it's a lot cheaper and some folks like it better because they get better mileage.

I spend a lot of time in Mexico and the fuel is much cheaper there. I last filled up in mid-July & paid about $1. 80 a gallon. I`ve heard it said that Mexican fuel has more sulphur in it & lubricates better than US fuel. My truck runs great on it. The only problem with going across the border to fill up is the long lines at US customs on the way back.
