I was wondering if anyone is running a k-45 in a twin setup and if so what they used for the bottom turbo and what they put up for hp numbers also would be helpful to know what other mods they had. I am looking at building a set of twins with the k-45 I already have and would like to do a little research before starting the project

I ran a Bell WSB as a secondary charger for a while. 57mm inducer on the compressor. It worked well with a 3B-23 primary. I was only running at the 500hp level, but it could have done a bit more. The WSB and the K31 are very close I believe. Ran nice, very minimal lag(not much different that single turbo). 215hp pump at 350cc, 65hp injectors, timing at 16deg.

thanks for the reply,do you by chance recall your egt's. I would like to be running 550-600 hp as long as my top turbo permits it. I will also be doing some some heavy towing and would like to keep it plenty cool ,by the way is there any turbo combo you havent tried. Ive been leaning toward the k-31 or a b2.

There's a bunch I haven't tried. I have a B2 laying here that I'd like to play with, but don't have the energy( or a top turbo) to build another set. I tried the little WSB with the k31 and didn't like it. It made alot of boost, but not alot of power. I could hit 40psi maintaining road speed on a slight grade. I would recommend a B2 or 3b with a 22 or 23 housing. The B2 only comes with a 1. 32 housing but I've been told it spools quickly. You won't be able to tow at 550 to 600, but with the vp you can just drop the fueling down a bit when towing. At 500 hp with the 3b I would hit about 1250 on a dyno run. The k31 might work if the exhaust housing on the K45 is larger than a . 7. But the k31 is only a 75lbs per minute charger. The B2 is about 95lbs/min.
