Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) K&N and Filter Minder

I am running a RE-0880 and the foam pre-filter. On a medium run, I managed to pull the filter minder down half-way. The filter is clean and the pre-filter is brand new. Anyone else able to do this? I thought these filters would flow enough air not to do that. I am only "slightly bombed".

pull the foam pre cleaner out as well as that cross over tube from the filter box to the fenderwell. They have been know to suck together. But i'm pretty sure its the foam. Try it and let us know.

The 0880 isn't in the air box. Problem is either the foam or over oiling. I've never been able to pull down the minder on the 0880 in my Scotty over a quarter even at 36 psi boost towing 26k. My 0880 came from K&N way over oiled, in fact the plastic bag it came in had a puddle of oil in it. I took it back to the auto parts where I bought it and looked though their stock till I found a dryer one. Since you've already used yours you may have to clean and reoil it. The foam outer shouldn't be over oiled either.
