Guys, when Kurt put my B 1 on, I had a BHAF on my trk. He told me I would lower my egt's if I would use the psyscotty, but I couldn't stand the noise. two days after I got home I had to take a trl. to Acton,Ca. , 1775 mi. I took the mega-cannon, BHAF, and my stock air box w/amsoil filter with me. I changed them several times on that trip, and got the lowest egt's with the stock box w/a filter, by a good 100*. Now running empty, there was very little diff. , but with a heavy load, and pulling those long grades at 1100-1150* egt's, the under hood temps get pretty warm, and like Kurt said, sucking in that hot air raised the egt's. It prooved it to me!! I also ran the Amsoil Air filter in my 96 V-10 for 300K mi. , I had the bypass system on it also, and changed oil vilters at 8-10K, and changed the oil at 30-35K (Amsoil 5w30), and at 300K, it would be down only a qt. in 8-10K. I sample at every filter change, and silicon runs from 4 to 7 PPM.
