Have seen lots of questions/comments on this in the past. Yesterday I bought a new FRAM air filter for my 93 so I could remove and properly clean the K&N. Checked the boost and it looks like the stock filter dropped about 2 psi off my readings. My K&N was pretty dirty when I pulled it out but still gave better performance than a new stock filter. Was at 22 psi, now at 20 psi. I think the difference will be even greater when a clean K&N is installed, I used to run almost 24 psi. (still plan on a 16 housing, just haven't gotten to it)
