Competition k31 turbo

Anyone out there running a K31 from II? I ordered one today for my 92 auto with the . 7 housing. Just curious how they spool or if anyone has any experience with them sledpulling.

good luck with it not surging with the a/r on the turbine you mentioned.

If Industrial injection built it , I would say it will work, as intended. There is little left of the K 31 in that turbo. Shane is a master at making some really trick wheels fit in to that housing . this is basically a Aura 5000, taken to extreme . I used that turbo to make some 1128 and do it at high RPM . but I went with a 1. 0 exhaust A/R and a 60 mm waste gate / excess exhaust gasses diverter .

Best bet for info is to call Industrial Injection and speak to Brady... ... .

Im not too worried about the surging issues as this truck is for pulling only and cannot be driven on the street again. I know you can get a variety of housings from . 7 to 1. 2 I believe. I spoke to a few people that run a similar setup and they haven't seen any issues of failure due to no wastegate. I will just have to wait and see how my drive vs. boost pressures work out on the first run with it.

As for II 'making' wheels... i'll be willin' to bet it's 100% b&w all the way through.

I believe he was refering to machincing of the housings to fit a off the shelf wheels from a different application.
