31st was what I saw on the other thread. time and where are still open I guess. Only places I know in Salina are the Flyin J and a BBQ place SW of Salina. I think Somolan (sp?) was the name of the town.
The Flying J is good and so is the Smolan School House. The School House would be a better setting for a meeting. There is a BBQ place on W. Crawford as well. There are really many decent places here. Also at the Crawford exit there is a large Mexican place, same cook that used to be at the Anchor Room. The Flying J would be the easiest for all to find, being right on the Interstate and having the big signs. Glen
Well I agree that Lunch would be the best thing or maybe something in the 2-4p range even. Gives everyone time to take care of things in the morning and have some travel time to get to Salina. We also need to pick a location.
Options that I can think of are as such:
Grandma Max's (Bosselman's truck stop)
Resturant at Flying J (can't think of the name)
Coach's (corner of Broadway and Ninth)
JC's Sports bar (corner of Ohio and Cloud)
If someone else has other options lets hear em.
Russell
P. S. On a side note I wont be around a computer from this Fri. am to Sun pm on account of I will be in St. Louis but I will check in on the progress Sun. Night.
ONESTACK, I'm with you on that suggestion , Now lets get the gang to express there wishes as to where we want to meet... . One of the guy's was liminted to only 2 places he knew of in salina . One was Flyin J, That would be ok with me as i know where it is and there shold be plenty of Room for the trucks... How Bout it guy's any thoughts. . ????????????
I was in Yogi's part of the world, called him for a rootbeer float, on me! He was too busy, what kind of deal is that? Of course, he has invited me several times and I never made it either, but he never offered me a rootbeer float!
On the 31st I might be going to South Dakota. That would be my luck, all you guys come to Salina and I'll be gone. Glen
GOOD!!! That way we can talk about ya & poke fun at ya!! If I remember right you didn't offer the rootbeer float till after I said I couldn't make it! Enjoy yourself up there in the cold country, we will.
Well now! I think I gave you two shots at that root beer float and ya passed both times. We just motored on down the highway and ate chili for supper, had you been in Salina, you could have had some belly rot too. I will be back tomorrow in the ice, if you are hanging around, I might still have that offer open! I know the young one is always ready fer a root beer! So don't :{ over spilled milk, mister!
Yogi, The last beer I spilled, a suspect did not like the fact I took it away. I should buy a 12 pack for the 2004 supply, if I bought a twelve pack, I suppose you would let me store it at your place! That way it would not go sour before I got around to drinking it. There would be a whole lot less bars and liquor stores if everybody drank as much as I do. Not that I mind having a cool one once in awhile, like once or twice a year. You better give me some coordinates so I do not get lost out there in No-Man's Land! Maybe if I bought a 12 pack, you would help me keep it fresh! We could put tally marks on the side of the fridge and in a couple of years when I got to ten, I would buy another 12 pack. What is the mighty liquid courage of choice out there where the wind blows unrestricted? Wouldn't want any bitter beer faces going on!
I don't drink much beer when it gets cold. (weather) Sip on a little scotch. BTW, its misting out here now, 29*, tomorrow might be a good day to stay in the house. If its slickery, I'm staying in!! Give me a call.
Ok Gang, So the best we can get out of ONESTACK is FLYIN J SAT AT 2PM... . IF THIS IS AGREEABLE WITH YOU REPLY ON HERE..... CRAPPIE... . COP..... Oo. Oo. Oo.
I am not sure what our weekend is going to bring now, so we might just be there. The 31st, that would be the 18th anniversary of my shooting incident. We had planned to go to South Dakota, but things sound pretty cold up there!
Ok on next Sat at Flyin J at 2pm... Get the word out to your friends ( if you still have one)???? I had one , Once for about 10 minutes, Then we got Married... . ... Lets all try to get on here either thurs or friday so we can see who's comin?/ Ok Crappie Cop...

Sorry, I missed the Flying-J gathering. I came through there around 6 am and just couldn't stand the thought of sitting still for 8 hours.
I'm back in Colorado now; next "planned" trip will be on the 20th.
