I'll probably give you a heads-up before I leave.



I usually leave on Friday afternoon - whenever I'm "ready".

When I'm eastbound I usually pass thru Hayes kinda late on Friday night. Westbound trips put me in Hayes early Saturday morning.



Isn't the Bear House the one at Bunker Hill? I stopped there last eastbound trip. I got a really late start, left here around 4am Saturday and stopped there for brunch, around 1 or 2 pm. I usually make better time than that though.



I plan to hang around here (Colorado) for a couple more weeks, and make my next trip on Feb 20

Thats it, exit # 193, Hays main exit is 159, I live off of #199. I may not be around, but we'll try. I get thru Memphis once in a while, maybe we could do it again. I know why you go that way, the cheap fuel in Oklahoma City, I filled there this morn. for $1. 29. 9 at the Flying J at exit # 137 on I-35.

Actually, the only time I went through OK city was when I missed the exit for the Tulsa Turnpike



I usually fuel up at the Kanza Travel Plaza, OK exit 231 off I35. Cheap fuel. and almost exactly the mid-point on the trip.



I wish I had a big enough tank to skip buying fuel in KS. Better yet, would be if diesel was cheap everywhere, and I could just tank up anytime-anywhere and not worry about the cost. :{

Thats why I like my 150 gal. tank I put on the bed. I can carry about 180-190 gals (150 + 35ish in the stock tank) if I go on a long trip. But kind of sucks if the price drops after I buy that much.



I usto kinda of live down in that neck of the woods. I always found the last rest area in KS on I-35 was the cheapest. a few times it wasnt but generally it was.

Anyone interested in a bomb party in the next month or so? I have a TST box w/guages, an ATS manifold, and a 5" Exhaust on the way. All should be here in the next two to three weeks. Depending on funds I may be getting a few more little items, like a fuel pressure guage and maybe DD pusher pump set-up. Let me know what you guys think.
