I think the Old Fart is done farming for a while. Last I heard from him, he just got back from a trip to Bakersfield, and is waiting for me to show up and buy him a steak dinner (that's another story!).



I should be passing thru there this weekend... hopefully when the restaurant is OPEN this time!

I have never heard of anyone taking as long to move as you... LOL. . jk... . how do you like memphis so far? I have done quite a bit of concrete work in that town but it was several years ago down on (i think it was called) American Freeway or Highway or something to that affect, and dang near all the median dividers from Jackson to Memphis so I have spent more than my fair share of time in that neck of the woods.

Dumb Fart (I couldn't resist) - yeah, it has taken a long time. Kind of like that song, 10 rounds of Jose Cuervo, I lost count and started counting again. When I leave here this time it will be trip #9 or 10. I DID lose count! I had a lot of stuff to move and WISH I had a bigger trailer (my Cheewawa keeps telling me, "I tink we need a beeger box!). Anyhow, the end is in sight. If I don't get it all on this trip, then I will next trip for sure!



I wouldn't even consider another trip, except I'm not done painting and fixing and cleaning; and the house ain't sold yet.



At 115,000 miles, I finally had to replace the transmission & torque converter on the beast last week. Thanks to ATS, I shouldn't have to worry about anything slipping anymore.

Tim, I'm leaving in the morn. , Wed. I'll bet I'll have cargo that no one else has hauled, a mounted buffalo head! Will be delivering it to the owner of Jayco Trailer Mfg. , in Middlebury, In. Have to pick it up at the taxi dermist in McPherson, Ks. about noon tomorrow. He said it will fit in the back seat of my trk. Damn, thats going to be like having OSR riding along with me!!! Don't know where I'll be going from there, probably Ca. , will let ya know.

I'll have to try and find a large paper bag to cover OSR's head!!

I will know by Thurs. night what date for sure I should be leaving. It may be such a thing as I have to head out w/o the wife for a few weeks, mainly because they need/want someone to start ASAP, and it takes a while for nurses to get things in order to move from one state to the other (nursing licenses and such). So if someone has a camper they want to loan out for about a month, LET ME KNOW, or I will more than likely be sleeping in my truck for about that long... . LOL... we don't have $$$$ to rent two places at a time
