Katzkin leather - console cover?

Hey Guys, I just had the katzkin leather kit installed in my truck over factory cloth. On the front 40-20-40 seat, they didn't re-cover the top of the console / back of the center seat. When I asked about it, they said that it couldn't be recovered in leather due to the way the cover is put on. Has anybody else had this kit installed or had their console recovered?



Oh, and just an FYI for anybody ordering a kit-- if you get the insert design, they default to "bundled" leather on the insert instead of smooth. I was suprised when I got my truck back as I was expecting a smooth insert.

Take your truck to a better upholstery shop! The guys that did mine didn't have any problems at all. See my gallery for pics.

Thanks guys. Overall I'm happy with the leather EXCEPT for the driver's seat (cover is botched and will be getting fixed!) and the fact that the console didn't get covered completely. I'll try to get some pics up later today.



This job was done by the dealer under the original purchase agreement. They outsourced to "Auto Trim" somewhere in WA. I'm not sure where but it was far away because my truck came back +150 miles and over 1/2 tank low I'm going to try a new "Auto Trim" branch that is local and opening up on Monday for the fixes...
