I killed the killer dowel pin.



I recommend the TST kit to anyone looking to do this... Full instructions, crank seal, tab and RTV in one kit...



My pin was 3/16s out of the case when I put it to bed.

Yeah... I had more trouble out of pinning the pump to find TDC for my valve adjust... .

"Crank it toward me... . no, the other way... #$%%^%$$# the other way. "

Nothing like having a brother for helping hands.



The whole process today inculded:



New Radiator

KDP Tab

Oil Change

Valve Adjust

TSS (transmission speed sensor)



I don't have my Outerwears for the BHAF but the filter is in the living room waiting.





It was a busy day to do that much "non-performance enhancing" work. .

Please remember there is more than just tabbing the pin while you have that cover off. All (some hide behind gears) case bolts need attention. Not sure of the number but its more than just a couple. They do get loose and can do worse damage than the dowel pin according to this forum. Mine were not tight but regrettably I found out later that I missed some.

That is a good point... . There are 5 others... Two behind the cam gear, two at the bottom of the case/ externally accessible... and I forgot where the last one is. .



TST instructions have a pic with arrows pointing to all of them.
