Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) AFC Questions....

Purchased a tab for the KDP from Rebel and took it to Wayland Chrysler, a small dealer in Wayland, Michigan, to have it installed. Pin was flush and all bolts were tight. The cost of $200 for peace of mind worth it.

Being more adept at repairing high power broadcast transmitters then working on diesel engines, have spent a great deal of time checking out garages for knowledgeable mechanics and fair dealing. Would like to recommend Kelvin Lapham at Wayland Chrysler. He and another mechanic are highly skilled in repair of Cummins engines. A lot of their work comes from other Dodge dealers in west Michigan, few of which have any qualified diesel mechanics.

While at it, would also like to recommend Williams Diesel Service in Ocala, Florida (my winter home). They work on all makes, but do a lot of work for Dodge dealers, who then tack on an additional large service fee, not telling their customers that they took the truck to Williams.

Really appreciate all of the great info available from so many of you that frequent this site.

Thanks,

Hugh

Hugh,

Thanks for the info - Wayland is not that far from me if I ever need a good diesel mech. I made my own tab and installed it myself, but it's always more comfortable going to someone who has been recommended by someone else.
