Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 6 speed swap

just popped off gear cover to replace leaking gasket & found no problem on my '98. Pin is seated & about 1/16" recessed..... Since I'm there I'm gonna tab it.
 
I have been told that the pre-94 motor pins were manually installed and if a pin was loose the assembly person would notice the problem.



Then came the automation. Now if a batch of loose pins came in (or overdrilled holes) they went undetected.
