Somebody else on the board made the observation that most of the KDP problems were happening on bombed trucks. Let's have a poll to see if this is true.

No problems yet. See signature for mods.

I was told that the later block wont have this problem. I think I have the later block?(one of the last 12 valve trucks)

Something about a double rib down by the oil pan is supposed to be a newer block, if memory serves me?

If anyone has more info that will help me tell the difference, please post it.

Thanks

Eric

My friend at the dealership has done a dozen or more, over half the trucks were stock power. The TDR forum will probably give a skewed response because so many are "fully fueled".

Since it's hard to tell if it would have happened, the info would be irrelevant. Of course, if you could tell the pin was on its way out, then that would qualify as a 'problem' and should be voted on one of the first two options.

Only 10 problems reported so far on the poll. But - good split between stock (4)/modified (6). It would appear that stockers do have something to be concerned with.

Mr Dee,

Your '94 is at risk. The risk is not high, but considering the cost if it fails vs the cost of the fix you should fix it.
