Still cant find any shop doing KDP Fix. Cummins Southeast Diesel says its not a problem and they have not had to do any, yet.

I run between Daytona and Tampa , and would like to find a shop with experience in the fix.

Heck, I cant find a shop to change my timing!! Any shop with a big "C" on the sign wont touch anything that's not within 'spec'... besides, they all seem to insist it will melt the motor! RJ2, I suggest the shop called Dieselect on the North OBT in Orlando... they did a good job with my 95 way back when...

I know exactly what you mean. I talked with a mechanic from my local cummins shop about a problem I was having. He told me that with my modifications I was going to destroy the engine and I should never go over 250HP with my truck. I replied, "I've been well over 350HP for the last 105K miles" and continued to tell him that the truck WILL hold up! He finally couldn't stand it any more and asked to go for a ride... ... . when we got back he ran inside, told the service manager and the sales manager to go for a ride with me. I guess I changed their opinion about these trucks! They have been very helpful ever since :D . Cummins must really drill it in their head to only do things by the book. Nah... . that's boring!

I would like to see the magazine do a better article on the KDP issue that I could take to the cummins dealer .

Moving it up one more time. I guess the kdp is not that much of an issue , given the amount of trucks on the road .
