Thanks, TDR Staff

RMTDR: Cummins Rocky Mountain Open House

RMTDR Colorado Springs Area

I've been searching all over and I can't seem to find who has this jig for my area. I have posted in a couple places to no avail. Can someone let me know? I've got 205,000 on my truck and I'm pretty worried about this pin!:( :( :(

My luck something catastrophic will happen then I'll be really broke, or stuck driving my hampster truck (S-10 with a 4cyl) :{ :{

Talk to illflem about them. He seems to be in the know. I think Cooker is our contact for this area, though. If you want to get one, let me know (or Basement-saver Dave) and we can try to get a bunch of trucks done at once at someone's place (my crazy neighbor needs one done on his truck).

Hope this helps.

Aron

Heck if someone can find it I'd be willing to bring air tools home and go to town! I live about 25 min north of the twin cities, so anyone in that area interested lets get together!

:)

what r u guys talking about?????

jig ? for what?

I didnt know there was anyone else in MN who was smart enough to buy a cummins

There are a few of us from MN that have the Cummins. I see Ford  guys all over. The KDP is a messy subject... Check the Stickey notes in the 12v Engines and Transmissions area.

PS: I'm thinking of trying to put together a MN (and local Wisc) TDR gathering. Any Ideas?

They're around and in many places you don't expect.

Way up here on the open prairie there is a lot of diesel pickup owners.

We also have something you don't have, a great diesel shop with dyno that knows how to work on these trucks and doesn't command a queen's ransom in price. They're one of the listed KDP owners, too.

Well, Since the Jig is out and about for approx 3-4 weeks, would something in July work(19th?)? I wouldn't mind having it at my place, I think it would be kinda fun having a TON of CTD guys/trucks around. Heck we might even scare the neighbors! :D

I've got air, but my driveway has a bit of a slant to it. I can always bring tools homre from work.

Ya kno', that might not be a bad idea to get it for that weekend. I am hoping to have the 3rd annual GB Transmissions Charity Dyno event set for that weekend. If you bring it with you, we could hammer out a ton of trucks. Could work out pretty good. Keep us posted.

we do have one good diesel shop

but

they dont know anything about the electronic stuff

just mechanical stuff

Sorry John, I don't mean to step on any toes here. I just need this repair done. From the responce I see here, may others do too.

I contacted Cooker, he said I can get the Jig for the weekend of 19th of July. Anyone that wants to common out to my place and either help, or get it done, please send me a PM. I'll try and plan accordingly.

Josh

Toes are fine here Josh.

I was mostly replying to Agades on having a shop to get serious work peformed on your Cummins.

Outstanding effort on your part. I don't think anyone has scheduled an event for the twin cities area in over 2 years.

later

-John

edit:

It also doesn't help the Wisconsin coalition is now in a separate time zone (Great Lakes Region).

Lets set it up!!!

Alrighty... . Ladies and Gentlemen... .

I just got a PM from Cooker, and the he said the jig will be free for the weekend of the 19th of July. Here's the invite: Anyone that wants/needs to get this done, I'm willing to try and get as many trucks done as possible that weekend. I'm hoping to start at about 9am on Saturday. I have 1 webber grill and a cooler. Anyone that wants, can bring stuff to BBQ, and of course your beverage of choice. Please bring some tools to use, as I don't have enough to go around for everyone. Anyone that has done this repair (I haven't) that wants to come out please feel free. I'm hoping this will give people enough time to plan. I have 2 air compressors, and assorted air tools. If anyone wants to come out and work on other things... by all means.

If this sounds intersting to anyone, Please PM me and I can get you directions, etc.

Maybe you missed that post. If I get the dyno event set for that weekend, you won't have many people around to do the KDP fix. However, if you bring the KDP jig with you to IA...
