Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) KDP Jig

Is there a KDP jig avalible in the Vancouver, Portland area. I would like to help my father-in-law take care of the KDP on his 98 24-valve.

It's easy to pull the front cover off and put a little tab. New seal cover is ~$35 from Cummins and you need skinny wrenches to take the fan off with.

Using the KDP Jig.

I’ll be getting a hold of blacksheepdiesel (Trent) soon. I’m going to do the KDP using the jig. Has anybody out there done a 12 valve and a 24 valve? I did the one on my 98 12 valve and it wasn’t too bad. After looking at a 24 valve it looks like there is more stuff in the way. Do you have to remove the upper radiator hose? If someone out there in TDR land has any information on the differences I would sure like to hear from you. Does anyone have step by step directions or pictures to pass along? Thanks. Jeff
