Have any of you been back inside your motor after the TST kit install?
How about if you just used RTV to seal the timing cover??
I installed the KDP kit from TST 5000 miles ago.
I pulled the fcover off this weekend to put another crank seal in it... I didn't install the one provided correctly. I didn't Bottom it out.
The Problem: When I pulled my cover this weekend, the oil pump gerotor pinion had been into the cover... . I couldn't figure out why it had done so, but it hit me; the RTV hadn't spaced the front cover out like it orginally was.
The cut mark on the cover was almost exactly as deep as the thickness of the gasket that was ommitted.
I just wanted to know if anyone else had done this install and had the same problem?
