The scene:

Enterprise Engine, Thornville, Ohio.

A truck with 400,000 miles that WAS scheduled for a dowel pin fix/preventer, missed it by a few days!!

She let go and wiped out the gear case cover.

High miles are NOT a guarntee that it will noy let go.

I stress again, find a CPFF jig, and get those pins FIXED!!!

It hit a guy I know a week after I told him about it. He wouldn't have gotten it fixed even if he had wanted it to. Now, he is a believer in the TDR.

You are right Gene, I do not think that anyone really grasps how big of a problem that this is with the "B's" I have to be honest though, I have not fixed my own yet either  It is certianly on the list. At least the Dodges don't run the M-11, those things are always eating gear housings, but not because of dowel pins at least

I have the TAB in my wallet, the gaskets are in, ready to pick up, and I start 3-11 shift tomorrow night at work. Pin is gonna die this week, and they're gonna pay me to do it. :D

I was skeptical at first but I would 'lay awake at night' thinking about how sad I would be if it let loose on my honey moon. So I tabbed the sucker just about a year ago and am even more glad now. I just need to get my brother and dad to do their trucks soon too. (a 93 and 90) not sure how big of a prob it is on 1st gens)) the TDR is :D Oo.
