Ted... nice website for a local track! Not sure what August holds for us, but I'll certainly run it by Keating. Always looking for something different to run. How far is the track from Greenville?

I am not affiliated with the track, just friends with the owner and trying to help get the interest generated for the 1/8th mile shoouout he wants to have. Owner is Tim Helms, he is a TDR member (Topfuel6) and he recently purchased the track. He has done alot of work to it since then also. Tim can be reached at 704 634-2897, or you can contact Scott from MassDiesel at 508-660-7093. Hasn't been much talk about the event lately, but it will be brought back up again real soon, especially since its not to far off.

Looks like it is around 5 hours from Knoxville TN, and about 8 hours from Greenville TN.

One thing I've learned here, if the governing council here don't like what you say, it's trashed.

Preston, we created an entire sub-forum for you guys to have your banter/disagreements on so as to keep the main competition forum on technical topics. Now that the banter forum is here this forum WILL be kept clean. Posts that belong in there will be deleted and the user will have the option of reposting it themselves in the banter forum. None of the posts deleted in this thread would have been deleted had they been in there.

Thanks goes out to the Keating crew for making it to IRP. It was cool to see that truck go down the track as fast as it did , run a 9. 2 and have to get out of the throttle a few times. Just think how fast it would have gone without having to back out of it. Keep tweaking on it, low 7's or high 6's arent that far away.

Is the truck itself based out of Knoxville?

I was just wondering because Crossville TN. has/had a track and I wondered if there was some restriction keeping you away from it. It's within "round trip distance" for both of us. (1hr. or so from Knoxville) Maybe I just misunderstood what you are looking for.

Kyle,

Crossville is 1/8 mile (unless something has changed I'm not aware of).
