We made our 3rd set of passes last night on the new motor. Keating seems pleased with the results... . especially since he surpassed his best 1/8 mile time to a 5. 60 with the fuel line to cylinder 1, well, not sending all the fuel into the motor (this problem will not crop up again
). The launch was even harder than the 8. 90 pass at Bristol back in July.
Keating swapped injectors between the first and second passes. This yielded a considerable drop in ET over the first pass. Hopefully he will have the exact cut he wants for next weekend along with some other tweaking so we can take full advantage of the altitude in Houston.
We have been going to Crossville the last few weeks. They could not be any more helpful in seeing the track is as good as it can be when we run... . very cool given the fact that this is just a test and tune night. There were several very sweet local Rat-Rods / Rusto-Rods. Crowd turnout was large.
