Personally I'd rather shoot to kill with a handgun rather than use something like a flare gun. The reason? It would be much harder for the next of kin to sue in civil court for wrongful death compensation when the deceased was in the commission of a crime, than it would be for the living 'flare-faced' scumbag to garner sympathy in court due to your 'cruel and unusual' self-defense tactics regardless of the crime being committed at the time.



Either way you had better be justified in shooting. A handgun cleans up the situation much better than a flare.

It's not the judge in criminal court you have to worry about - it's the jury in the civil court that'll get you!

there was a lady trucker who shot a guy in the face the cops told her good job that was at super wal mart she was sleeping in her truck 3:30 am

Regaurdless of what any law says I'll shoot to kill if I'm threatened. I'll take being in jail rather than dead and square with the law. You have a chance of getting out of jail. Not so sure about getting out of a coffin.

The only ones who do haven't had something of value stolen from them... . Especially to find it in a pawn shop with "No identifying Markings" So the police have to confiscate it rather than return it.
