It couls be worse. You could sell it and have to buy a Duracrap when you get back. If you like what you've got keep it. If you want something else send it packing. I had a Dmax and loved that truck until the fuel system went out at 70k. Lost faith in it and GM. I always wanted a Cummins and now I have the exact truck I would have ordered if I could have. Yeah, it's got 142k on it. Yep it sure does have the 53 block. Maybe my LP is about to go out (will know when I get finished with my gauges). I may have to rebuild my rear end in the future. Crap there's a bunch of "what if's" to deal with. If you think about what may happen you'll end up wasting most of your time. Yeah I'm worried about the truck blowing up on me, but there's not a mammy freaking thing I can do about it so I 'm going to use the truck like I bought it for. If it dies on me I'll rebuild, buy a new one, or set it on fire and call the insurance company My point is, if you like what you have, then stick with it.

Sell it. You have gained experience building the first one. Knowledge is a powerful thing. Just think, if you knew what you know now about your truck, what could or would you do if you had the opportunity to do it again. May take less time to get to the truck you want and need. I know if I could start over I would I just can afford that second truck with the first's bombing habits.

I've re-thunk this thing.

Assuming that GFoley actually has to make the decision he has posed here, AND that it applies to the truck in his signature.



Then it follows that apparently GFoley is not quite as thrilled with his truck as the most of us are (89% Keep It at this point). I'd say that half of us that voted "keep it" find the question absurd to begin with. But then we are thrilled every time we light off the mighty CTD.



So I'm thinking now that GFoley isn't thrilled with the truck, hence the question. So sell it and get one you like. Just don't forget to save up some money during that 12 months of no drivie.



It would take a RIDICULOUS sum of money to get mine away from me.

GFoley, If you really like the truck, and like your leaving for a year or so... . maybe it will give you something to think about while your gone and may be a reason to come back. While your gone you can think of all the BOMBS you can put on it when you return. Just my . 02.
