Best used 4 door full size car??

With all of the holiday festivities going on, sometimes we overlook some of the most basic safety practices. Yesterday at about 12:00 I went on a house fire call. When we arrived there was heavy smoke throughout the house and fire contained mostly to one room. The fire was easily knocked down and overhauled. There was fire and water damage isolated to one room and the rest of the house was subject to heavy smoke damage and staining. We had to rip apart a cieling, two walls, a closet, and break a skylight and window during the incident.

The owners of the house had left a candle lit in the front window and gone to church. You can just imagine how they felt when they got back home and saw what had happend.

So, just a message to everyone. Please keep it safe, especially for the holidays.

Cheers,

Sean

Thanks Formula,

Printing this out and sticking on the teenage daughter's door as another reminder to blow the da#* candle out when she leaves the room.

Reminds me of the time about 15 years ago when my mother almost burned the house down because she had a candle going on top of the piano.

It was only because I got home late from a date, and smelled something - the top of the piano lid was starting to burn!!!

Candles are dangerous, pure and simple. Why do you think there have been so many fires thoughout history!

My girlfriend LOVES candles. Blame it on the friggin Pottery Barn, Pier One, those stores. :--)

Please have a SAFE and HAPPY holiday!

We had a friend recently that had sustained fire and smoke damage from an electric candle he left in his window. The candle was plug in behind his desk, so he reached over and twisted the bulb out a turn think that it would be OK. Something shorted out in the base of the candle and it caught fire. Thankfully someone driving by saw the fire in the window and called for help.
