Hey all you Colorado guys... I'm going to go the DDII route soon (next weekend) and I'm considering selling my stock injectors on ebay. (Currently there is a set going for $89. 99). My truck is registered in TN and in the next couple of years, I'll be registering it in Colorado so should I keep my stock injectors for when I have to get a smog test?

YES... . KEEP THEM!!!!

Take my truck for instance, Even if I put my truck back to stock level and keep the dd2's in... I can not pass CO emmision.

That's why when I get some injectors for the wifes truck, I will be keeping her stock injectors.

In my DTT set-up also running DD2s, I was concerned :D about making sure I passed my very strict European emission tests, required annually. By repositioning the jumper in the black box under the hood, you can effectively (temporarily) reduce the (over) fueling in about 2 seconds and the smog test becomes rather academic, limboing in under the bar with loads of room to spare... :-laf

All you have to do to pass the Smoke Test is rig up a throttle limit stop. And then you can block it off so that they can't push it past 50% fueling or so.

I had my EZ on the most aggressive with dd2's and passed easily. I know out side temp effects emmisions, and it was just warm enough to run so that might be why it passed so easily.

I kept mine also.

Colorado smog test

The Colorado smog test is not difficult to pass. It takes a LOT of smoke to fail this test. I had an old Toro Flow GMC diesel in a 1 ton Silverado, a real boat anchor. This old motor never exceeded the half way point on the smoke test, even with the pump turned way up.

If you fail the Colorado test I think you may have a bigger problem than just the test. Good luck.

But of course Mark!!!... :-laf

BTW, if you did get the powerball, it would take all the fun out of the B, S & T to get the goodies the regular ol' fashion way - regardless fingers X'd 4U
