Class Action Suit! Yeah,... right!

Look all... Our Dodge Ram 24V Diesels are usually warrantied for only 100K, however, they're manufactured to last at least 400K. That means that after 100k, "you are your own warranty station," but you still are in ownership of the best truck on the market for 300k miles to come.

If you plan to keep your ride, then start saving up for the average repairs EVERY truck that old will get! Even if you have to spend $2k per year after that to keep your 'baby' running, it's still WAY cheaper than buying a new Ford or Chevy Diesel. So, Shut-up already!! Add all the mods you want and burn rubber and smile! :D

Well said. It is just like the people who bought a house a few years ago down the street from me. They paid opver 500K for the place, and expect it to take care of itself. Maintenance is part of any ownership.

I have 57k on mine and so far I have 2 front VSS sensors, 1 rear VSS, Control arm (for the ball joint), Pinion seal, lift pump, VP44, 2 ujoints, and a pinion yoke. I am happy with this as I drive in the city every day, and it is a lot of abuse. No complaints here. Now my friend with a 6l powerstroke has stories to tell about his general maintenance, such as the fuel seperator, inline transmission filter that ford does not have a listing for... the list goes on.

Agreed, repairs are to be expected. Within reason, repairs are opportunities to BOMB. If you want to keep your truck, it will require repairs/maintenance to keep it running. But $2K per year in repairs beats $6K per year in payments.

" Yeah, honey, I needed to repair the injectors with the DD1's. And then I needed to repair the exhaust with a 4" turbo back system. And would you beleive it, I needed to repair the trans with a DTT unit. Damn this thing! Maybe we should sue Dodge!"

:D :D :D

I was told this engine would turn" 300k as easy as falling off a log, 500k if ya treat her right". Combine that with its classic styling and incredible towing and hauling characteristics and this is a truck you KEEP! But then again, I did have to replace the handle on my seat yesterday... . maybe I should have another look at that 2004. 5:D AC
